You’ve awakened. Are you nervous?

For some reason, Spiritual Awakening and anxiety often seem to go hand in hand. Why is this you might ask? Well, there are several factors that come into play which we will discuss briefly.

1.) Awakening causes difficulty fitting in.

Before you were awake, it may or may not have been easy to fit in with the crowd. Whichever the answer is for you, one thing is sure, going with the “norm” has gotten significantly more difficult since.

One of the biggest causes of anxiety is worrying what other people may think of you. With your new mindset, you probably have many ideas that don’t exactly fit with your society’s norm. You may have a lot on your mind that you wish to discuss with your fellow humans, but are worried what those around you may think. This alone can cause extreme amounts of anxiety.

Just remember that although these ideas might sound crazy to the vast majority of people around you, you are not crazy, and should be comfortable enough expressing yourself to those in your life.

If you’re still not comfortable, perhaps it’s time to rethink who’s opinions should actually hold value on your journey.

2.) Those who are awake often feel a pressing need to change the world.

Great! That’s absolutely fantastic.

There’s a lot going on in this world that could stand to change. Deciding you want to take a stand and make a difference is truly a beautiful thing, but it also may be putting huge amounts of unneeded weight on your shoulders.

Now before I go further, let me make it clear that doing your best to make a difference is not a bad thing. We need more people like you, we really do.

The thing we don’t need however, is inspiring people like yourself feeling down because nothing is changing. The truth is, if you put all the weight on yourself to make a difference in the world, you’re going to wind up very stressed out.

Sometimes things just won’t budge and there isn’t a single thing you can physically do about it on your own. Don’t let this cause you unending amounts of worry. Instead, be proud of the fact that you are out here doing anything at all where many others, are not. Pat yourself on the back! People like you make the world go around, and we need you at your best.

So, if the state of the planet is causing you stress and anxiety, just take a breath and realize “I am not in control.”

None of this is your fault, and we are all really glad that you’re doing anything at all to make a change. Take a deep breath, and give yourself some credit.

You deserve it.

3.) Awakening Empath

Can you feel their pain?

Being able to feel others emotions is something everyone on the planet can do. Although, some are far better at it than others.

Those who are awake often have a much better sense of their fellow human’s emotions than those who are still plugged into the matrix. Some can even sense emotions to a level that sounds fairly unrealistic, but none the less, is real.

If you are someone who suffers from a large amount of anxiety, or really any overwhelming emotion, but are not sure why, consider the possibility that you are an Empath.

Empaths can quite literally sponge off of other peoples emotions. If you’re feeling massive amounts of anxiety and can’t seem to find a reason within your life that you are so nervous, consider evaluating the emotions of those around you.

Do you have a close friend who suffers from anxiety? Is it possible that you are “sponging” off of the vibe they are putting out? If so, there are many online sources that can help you learn to filter out other’s emotions. A good place to start would be searching “How to protect yourself as an Empath.” on your favorite search engine.

Figure out what works for you. This is not a new problem, and you are not alone. 

4.) The world in general has become just a little scary.

Okay, maybe it’s really scary.

Before awakening, many people are pretty unconscious of the things going on in the world. This can make it a great deal easier to live their lives worry free.

Ignorance is bliss, right? 

Right… The problem is, if you’ve gone through an awakening, ignorance is simply not a choice you are presented with. You are all too painfully aware of the amount of suffering in the world and if you’re anything like me, it can be very discomforting.

Knowing what is happening to the animals, the earth, and humanity in general is more than enough to leave those with awakened minds sleepless at night. It can be downright terrifying to know what’s happening out there.

It goes without saying that this can be a massive trigger of anxiety.

So what can we do?

Well, we’re working on changing all of that, and we are working hard, but in the mean time, disassociation is going to become your best friend.

The world can be a scary place, and that is completely outside of your control. Your “world” however, your private little perspective, is up to you. What you choose to react to is 100% within your grasp of control. That said, if you’re feeling a little overwhelmed by the horrors of today’s world, just remember that these horrors, are not associated with you. It’s not your fault these things occur, and you shouldn’t let such things plague your mind.

As I said earlier, you’re doing great if you’re trying at all. Don’t let what you can’t control out there phase you.
