“The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.”–Jack London-
You are probably unaware that you’re wasting your time, it can go on and on without knowing until one day you suddenly realize it. Life can be tricky, none of us seeks to waste your time, it’s nobody’s life goal to just waste its life and time is it?
Here are 4 signs that you’re wasting your life.
You’re unhealthy, Soul, Body and Mind.
As Nikola Tesla said, “Our entire biological system, the brain (the body, the soul), and the Earth itself, work on the same frequencies.”
It is unhealthy to dwell on the past, past mistake or just be caught being depressed about the past. It helps no one especially you, first, off you need a different mindset and escape the cycle of unhealthiness.
It helps to work-out and exercise, eat healthy food and start to surround yourself with happy people and good energy persons.
Cut off your friends that drag you down and you feel it, but instead, keep close and spend more time with family and friends that make you feel good about yourself, boost your morale and you will immediately notice a huge improvement in your mood, your work, and your life.
You Don’t Challenge Yourself Enough.
“It is not the path which is the difficulty. It is the difficulty which is the path.” –Søren Kierkegaard
What does challenging yourself mean?
It means to get out of your comfort zone, leave your comfort zone every chance you get, if you never leave it, never travel, always finding an excuse why not to do a new thing, it means you’re missing out a lot in life, you’re not challenging yourself at all.
There is so much to learn, so much new stuff to try every day, if you’ve closed yourself from all the stuff the world can give you, the new experiences you can have any day or any chance you get, then your life will reflect on that.
Don’t read the same book over and over again, try new books, new articles, new stuff.
Get out there and hug the world, dance in a storm, chase the wind, let your dog loose and run after him. Stretch your conform zone until bursting with fear and trepidation, then get back to your comfort zone and heal.
Of course, this is all metaphorically speaking but you get the idea, leave your comfort zone with every chance you get so your body and mind can experience life in its essence, new feelings, new experiences, don’t waste your life.
You Let Others Tell You How to Live
“Angry people want you to see how powerful they are. Loving people want you to see how powerful you are.” –Chief Red Eagle
Remember that you are your unique self, nobody knows all the details you’ve been thru, your unique memories and moments. There’s nothing wrong with good advice, but you have to decide for yourself what’s good advice and what’s bad advice for you, nobody can tell you how to live or what to do, you know best for you.
You are and should be the driving force of your own life, question everything, question all authority and especially question those that tell how to live or what to do. Even question this Article.
“You are personally responsible for becoming more ethical than the society you grew up in.” – Eliezer Yudkowsky
Get out there, out of your comfort zone and take life by its neck and figure it out for yourself, nobody can tell you what’s best for you, or even if they do, you should be the one to have the final say and decide if they are right or wrong.
You’re always your own boss, even if you’re giving your power to others.
You Don’t Feel Worthy
“We become more worthy the more we bend our minds to the impersonal. We become better as we take in the universe, thinking more about the largeness that is and less about the smallness that is us.” –Rebecca Goldstein
It usually takes courage to “act” worthy of something, or just act like you’re worthy of anything, even if you don’t feel like it deep down.
It’s one of the easiest and most difficult things to do, if you practice acting worthy then eventually you will feel worthy, but you need to start acting. Trick yourself into a higher cosmic resonance.
Similar to feeling negative is acting worthy, practice enough of it and eventually, you will feel worthy without the need to act. Think of it as playing a game of reverse-psychology on yourself, have fun with it, fool your inner-fool.
